My paper states 15th march delivery. I have no idea about when it will be shipped, but judging by the garage they would get it in time. And if that is the earliest shipment lots of dealerships will receive trucks completely filled with the new wasserboxer.

Just curious if you guys are paying the MSRP for the bike? Do you always pay MSRP for BMW? I do not currently own a BMW. Had an R90/6 in the late 70s. I am interested in the new GS and also the new KTM adventure. I may not buy either, but am following both threads on ADV.

Yes, LEDs are approved but it seems that they built a large portion of the first batch without them...sounds like you are lucky and perhaps yours was built further back in the que. It's strange though that the pricing sheet that you have does not follow the US options specs as the LED and TPM are part of what is called the premium plus package in the U.S.

Right, and probably the most popular dealers (California, etc) got the first batch without LED's since it was pending DOT approval. Just a guess.

Hmm, haven't heard about these recalls. Fork bridge eh? That could be something to address the head shake issue...

Yeap. Bikes should be at my dealer on Monday and although I'm #2 on the list, I think I'm going to take a pass and wait for the LED and TPM and for these other fixes/recalls to be incorporated into the assembly line.

Holy shit, Monday, March 4th?! Yea, I think we are both right here. I haven't even got a date for delivery for mine, but I imagine it's sometime in late April.

And good idea on waiting. I think it's worth the wait to get LED/TPM and fix the recalls :)

Oh, that explains why your bike has LEDs then...it is an ordered bike and not part of the initial shipment of 3 or 4 bikes to each dealer. You are closer to NJ than me, so I would think your dealer should be getting his initial shipment of bikes this week.

I cannot speak for anyone else, but yes I will be paying MSRP. This is my first BMW so I cannot give info about past BMW purchases. I have bought several new and/or niche vehicles in the past that I had to pay MSRP due to scarcity, most likely is the same for the new GS.

^This, at least according to all the info that has come out recently. US launch bikes (most likely in premium trim?) will be in dealers at the end of this week or next week. All premium plus bikes will have to wait for the first shipment of ordered bikes which will be built soonish and be delivered in April or May. To me the TPM and LED headlight are worth the little bit of extra money and the wait.
