Have you actually met people who hate bikes? Their IQ would surely be one digit in binary.

Besides there is a ride report by motorcycle.dom (if I remember right) where the bike went to an abrupt wobble for no apparent reason. Are you that sure then that this did not happen to the late Kevin too? I'm not sure that it did either, but its a basic function of a healthy brain to make a connection. What I said above is that S.A police would never know if it did.

Yes, what about them?

Does this really have to be dragged out again? Come on, really.

That was on the press bikes, and the first batch of bikes shipped from Germany. BMW sent a load of engineers to the uk to perform the fix last week. 20 minutes per bike, and they've all been sorted. Any bikes received into the uk after the first batch had the fix at the factory

Next.......
The article is actually interesting because it is the first published report I've seen of questions directed to BMW on the relevant topics and responses from BMW, albeit not very informative ones.

Valid questions...but many here seem to have already made up their minds and don't want to ask the question nor hear the answer nor hear anyone talk about it anymore.

I'll report further when I get it out again, I think Friday is looking dry here.
I've got the BMW HP/Akra exhaust on back order, which claims to give an increase in low and mid range torque.
Thanks Jon (and Rich too).

Yeah, something in their write ups just didn't make sense to me. These guys are claiming that there isn't as much grunt down low, but then they all seem to claim that the bike pulls cleanly from 2k rpm. My '07 GS wouldn't pull cleanly from 3k rpm, so if the new bike pulls well from 2k, I'd say it has MORE grunt down low, not less.

Looking forward to more ride reports from new owners.

No, I'm not rich, but while you have been squandering your money on every new thing that comes out I have been saving since I bought my last bike in 2005 for this one. Perhaps if you had a little more financial self control you would be anxiously waiting a new bike like the rest of us prudent savers instead of sucking hind teat with the pigs.

Nah, he is picking it up on Saturday, March 9th.

He is 8 hours ahead of us, so by Friday night PST, he should have it, but won't be able to post review/pics till wee hours.

Just have to open the attic door and make sure there's an empty basket on the ground

Umm, he just bought a Panigale, so I don't think affording a GS is an issue and I think his post was directed to the user RichBMW and not you.
