All of them, cars, bikes etc. Bigass import tax + the 'one time payment'. So basically my bike costs 165000 NOK + 100 000 NOK of extortion money to the govermernt. Add huge fuel prices + yearly road tax + quite good income and we have a Norwegian model.

It sounds like Rauven has not completed his programming successfully

Meh, dunno. I can live with that. It's not as bad as it sounds. Don't get me wrong, earning money here and spending... well... wherever (upside, everywhere is cheap ) is a dream. Earning here and spending here (at least with more or less entry level software dev paycheck) gives a very decent living standard. Mone is good, prices are a nightmare, but and average 'consumer shopping cart' comes out very nice. F.e. GS is my 6 months income. So not cheap, but something perfectly managable.

I would love though if as a permament resident in Norway I would be allowed to drive a bike registered in lets say Germany or Poland and save up 50% ;)

Sorry for the crapy grammar and flow of thoughs but after the surgery I'm ever so slightly high on painkillers ;) They are good though. If tomorrow feels as good I might go and visit my bike at the dealership :)

Only BMW can charge extra for an "On Board Computer Pro" as nobody wants to be left behind with the "Rookie Computer".

Yes, I'm sure the BMW dealers there are going to be quick to post up some negative information about the new GS

I know that's true. My brother added his R1100RS, and it was six months before his wife noticed that there was a second bike, because they were both red!
