Safe riding out there and I hope the sun shines for you. Pics of the bike of course and a pic of you on the bike too - always nice to 'see' who we chat to on these forums.

Loads of fun this weekend, and a visit on Monday to the plastic surgeon, to have that overwhelming grin removed from your face..

Rich, good luck my friend. You know you have the pressure to post pics of your bike from all unimaginable angles. I hope you get sunshine, if not, then get some photography spot lamps and shoot pics. .... just kidding.

Enjoy your ride coming back home.

Can any of you lucky guys who have taken delivery fill us in on what the control wheel on the left grip does. Does it just control the gps and not the on board computer as well. If so, what functions of the gps does it control. Thanks your your input.

Congratulations to all who have taken delivery of their new 1200GS LC. I want to know how it is progressing with the software update and therefore I would like to know whether you when receiving your new 1200GS LC at the dealer also was given coding plug for controlling the various mode settings. The code plug provides access to Enduro Pro setting and memory function.

Did you get the code plug with your 1200GS LC?

Again congratulations with you new ride.

Max :-)

This may have been posted before, sorry. Here is the current list of approved tires for the new 1200GS LC.

(Source: BMW Motorrad Germany)

The list has not yet been updated with the new Metzeler Karoo 3 but BMW Motorrad are probably going to update it soon.

Just info.

Max :-)

The lit that I have states that it operates the Nav functions-zoom(in&out)-repeat voice prompts-volume and move through main pages and menus....the same multi controller on the 1600GT allows access to all systems on monitor..you woulld think it would be similar on GS...any of you happy new owners have the answer

So now even if we don't see head shake we can freely imply it was there and they didn't show it. NICE!

Another question to those that have taken delivery of their new 1200GS LC.

On the former 1200GS the user could not change these settings (had to be done by the dealer):

- Delay time/distance for automatically turning off the turn signals.
- Delay time for turning off lights after ignition has been switched off.
- Display of average and current consumption as "liter/100 km" OR "km/liter"

Can the user change any of these settings on the new 1200GS LC or are they only changeable by the dealer?

Just wanted to know before I pick mine up, so that my dealer set this up to my liking, if it is not user managed.

Max :-)

It only controls the GPS. At least it did on the demo bike I tested last week.

Another thing that I was told by my dealer was that the BMW Motorrad GPS only connects with bluetooth to the BMW helm set and NOT other helm sets. I don't know if this is right, so if anyone has more info on this then please make a post.

Max :-)
