Water-cooled ADV Scuttlebutt??
Would anyone know if BMW will produce a water-cooled ADVENTURE model, and if so, when might this occur?

Hi, nice pics. Seems the tour is already finished when it gets officially published (and probably also the photo sessions take much longer). Have fun. Would be nice to get some backstage information

I assume you're talking about the 1200 GS in which case you're in the wrong forum. Though I believe the answer is yes. If history is an indicator, I'd guess late this year or early next.

Sorry for this statement: The new BMW 1200GS LC is the best allround enduro bike available today Isn't it nice when people defend the choices they make, and let out a little enthusiasm for something as simple as a motorcycle. Max :-) MaxReving screwed with this post 03-11-2013 at 05:09 PM |

Usually the 'Adventure' model is about a year behind the regular GS.

According to my dealer, the water cooled GS Adventure will follow the water cooled GS the following model year.

I was impressed by the single tracking on that big old bike. Always am impressed. I would think that someone would come out with a steering damper soon for that bike. I think it would be a good thing to have. I have a RM damper on my f800 and it really helped a lot. Maybe I'll have the opportunity to test ride one when I get my f800 service soon. Thunder Grey... cool.

Are the first LC GS's in the USA going to be sold and registered as 2013 models or instead as early-release 2014 models?

2013, but if the delays go on much longer....they may as well make them '14's. Irv Seaver may have a demo bike this weekend, although it will be a base model without dynamic suspension.

First custom exhaust I could find (and wasn't even looking for it). With graphs and all. :) Custom exhausts will be a more common thing with new GS as it has the can on the "proper" side. EDIT: Akra have posted their version also (which looks the same as the BMW extra with different logo). Their graphs are more conservative (and possibly more realistic). They (like Remus) already plan to release full system too. BOS haven't done anything yet (damn... they were my favorite). NLS screwed with this post 03-12-2013 at 01:01 AM |
