looks familiar ?

Yep, it seems to have an instrument panel similar to that of the K16s.

My thoughts exactly. My gut tells me it's an exercise, so there's a lot of speculation (as is always the case when heritage meets progress). BMW know where their bread is buttered and the engine architecture has been understressed and solid for years.

Unless they feel compelled to enter the hP wars.

Good eye. Can't see the control wheel in the pics, can you?

I have to praise your eyes.
Didn't think that it would have been possible to see so much, in that little spyshot.

What could I tell you more, that YOU don't see in the pictures?

DasMatti, I am really glad to see that you are still around and in good humour.

Well, staying in the instrument panel and handle bar, you could tell me...
1) is there a built-in cradle for the Navigator IV ?
2) is there an electric screen?
3) is there cruise control?

A Spanish magazine reported 129 HP, a French magazine said 125 HP. Oh, well, in that ballpark I'm happy.
Now, the question that is really, really killing me is: will there be a normal GS and later an Adventure declination of it, or will there be just one bike? This is key of buying it early, or waiting for the Adventure to come out and in the meantime think of alternatives. Now, I cannot see that from the spy picture, maybe you can just give a hint...

Ducati versus BMW.

2 cylinder bikes.

the duc kicks ass in power holds euro 5 emission

BMW can do the same.

There is something in the water.

Relax i belive in horsepower and theBMW M boys can deliver.

The duc 1199 deliver 196 horses.

Why not give us 140-145. Pleasure is power.

The tech is here and now.

So folks, I'll share some news with you again.

I can't tell you everything, since I'm not an motorcycle-engineer.
But what i know is:

- there will be a adventure
- there will be a bigger (than atm) electric screen)
- there won't be a built-in navi (it's still a offroadbike, and no megacruiser.)

That's all for the moment.
I won't tell more for a while. I am still bit paranoid, if someone of bmw is watching this thread....

greetings from germany,
Matthi

PS. Already heard the bike with aftermarket mufflers. Don't know if it was Remus? Anyway, sounds pretty darn good If you close the throttle at high revs, there are the most, intense backfires - just awesome

I think your job in the Marketing department is safe and sound. However, if you're not in that department you should be. You've got folks here drooling and hanging on your every word. You should ask for a raise, because as a human hook-setter you are the best!

I wait to hear more. Keep the info coming.

I suspect this is BMW leaking info to us. It happens and is all part of modern marketing. I do like the info so keep it coming
