My tire expert didn't like them too.

What is nice though, is that in your link we have the first picture (I know of) of Wild.

Thanks.

Thumb first hand knowledge please...

I rode the new WGS for a short time, and did not get to experience it on the highway with blasts of turbulence from large trucks. On my R11GS you had to pay attention( but no big deal). On my R1200GS... had to pay even more attention and chose opportunities to pass with care.

....... SO TO THOSE WHO have ridden the New GS and the OLD ( only if you rode the R11 / R1150GS) ... please .... how does the new WGS compare?

If you could, a brief explanation of the circumstance...thx in advance

Mine are on order (unpainted aluminum variety... I'm just going to bang them up eventually, anyway). The Touratech or Globe Scout might be a better bag but they both are much wider than my liking. The 38L Holan's are just right for me. YMMV.

Top case

Could anyone tell me if the new top case for the LC GS is higher than the previous model ? Will it fit a Shoei Neotec full face helmet ?

The previous model wouldn't hold a full face helmet and this was a pain in the ...

Thanks,

Andre

I'm curious...are you guys seeing new GS' at your dealers or have customers taken delivery? My dealer is a top selling dealer here and they still have only received the demo bike and one other bike which was sold to someone on the waiting list. I'm really surprised the bikes are so slow to make it to dealers.

I really like the way these are mounted with the balanced design. I contacted Touratech inquiring about the balanced set for the GS LC. They said they were working on it and it would come to market sometime 4th qtr 2013.

Where did you order your Holans, Marchyman? Where you given an ETA for delivery?

Considering your location I'd be surprised if you ever were to see one, you might see something else instead :-)

If you're US-based you can order from Jason at http://www.advmotorrad.com/, he's also in the vendor forum here.

Otherwise, just order direct from Holan. www.holan.pl

I had a question and emailed the owner on Easter Sunday.... he returned my email that afternoon. In the email exchange he said typical delivery is 30-40 days and that mine should be available mid May. That works for me.

Great news, I look forward to your report once delivered. I should be getting my bike around June.

Finally, some light at the end of the tunnel...

Went to BMW dealer who flat out said my bike (my original order) would be here sometime in mid June. I had him look into his system and to please locate a bike like mine not snagged by any other dealer, and to my surprise he located a bike sitting at the Bremerhaven dock in Germany with no one asking for it (I have no idea how that works...but at this point I don't really care! I had to give up the spoke wheels though ), he punched in some data and presto! he tells me the bike is now allocated to his store! It is being loaded onto the ship (he even gave me the ship's name so I could track it on www.marinetraffic.com) and should be on the East Coast by the 20th. That puts the bike in California around the 29th. That puts my trip to Cabo back online!! Yeah baby!!!
Most of my faith in BMW has been restored!

What ship? I'm trying to figure out what mine is on -- I have a VIN but no shipper.
