My first post + first moto vloggin video + CRASH**

WATCH VIDEO

Wow, just found this site and have to say, it seems like a great community!!

My name is Kalani and I'm a motorcycle lover from Maui, Hawaii. I have been riding motorcycles as an enthusiast since I was a kid.. Never got into the extremes, just love being on two wheels with an engine under me! There's nothing like flying through time and space, whether on or off road : )

I currently ride two bikes.

A 2008 Yamaha WR250R - I love this thing, perfect for Maui as a gas station is always relatively near : )

and a 1976 Kawasaki KZ 900 which is currently down for a carb rebuild and some minor electrical work.. She should be back soon..

Anyhow, just wanted to say hello and introduce myself : )

Kalani-

I'll be vlogging it up at http://www.youtube.com/accidentalbroadcast if you want to see more of Maui..

Yikees.. I feel your pain.. Time to get some good riding gear. You are very handy with cameras -- you want to keep your hands.

Agreed, been researching it like a wild man as I need to be mindful of the weather here as well : )

I'm definitely into those riding pants with pads built in.. That would have helped the leg.

Nice Bike, the crash was fun to watch a few times. Next time give it more gas going through that stuff and get some protective gear. Also, get some protective gear for the bike.....great job on the video. Awesome scenery.........

Yeah, I'm looking to get some rugged handguards from a company called highway dirtbikes, as they have built in flip style mirrors!! so nice, no more broken clutch perches : )

I'm on the protective gear after that crash..

I ride with a buddy that has the handguards that you are talking about. They are really rugged and nice, I like the mirrors that you can order with them. Top notch.....

Outstanding introduction! Nothing like a good Ooops to show who you are!
The camera is great!

That looks very similar to when my downhill bike cartwheeled me, I just ended up taking a dirt nap...
