IT WORKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.I got it together and RODE IT !!!.It needs ALOT of sorting and it also needs different sidecar suspension..BUT I RODE IT !!!.The cars suspension is WAY TO STIFF and the bike is WAY TO SOFT .It handles OK,I only got up to 35mph and found out NOT to grab a handfull of throttle !!!!!!,If you do it does a sidecar wheelie !!.Any way I still need to paint the tub and wire up the lights, and make a windshield but thats the easy stuff, sorting the suspensions is NOT going to be easy OR fun !!.

Nobody ever accused the DL1000 of being underpowered, but I'm concerned that you were able to lift the front wheel so easily. When I had my DL1000, I could lift the front wheel, but you had to be trying to make it happen. Possibly the sidecar weight distribution is too heavily biased towards the rear wheel of the Strom? Did you have any dead weight in the car during the trial run?
More knowledgeable experts, please chime in here. |

Alan, that thing looks great. I love all the clearance. Can't wait to see it in person. Won't make the April tech day, but I'm sure we'll get together again soon. Well done. I hope everything gets sorted out easily enough.

That looks great and the Oriental eyes on both blend together well.
By the way mine done great with a 200 something monkey while riding around the race track going out and back from flagging a corner for AHMRA road racing. My monkey said it was a smooth ride. |
