I just added a new thumper this week! Found a really clean 2004 DR650 being sold by the 63 year old original owner who really took care of it.

Last year I bought a slightly used "MSF training bike" with 143 miles. 2012 XT250 for $1300 less than MSRP and no set up/freight charge.

I have 5. I justify it because it's my hobby. And, aside from the XT225, The other bikes were all basket cases and were brought back to life by me. I don't have nearly as much money into those bikes as I do time...

XT225 - The Mrs' Bike

And a couple 2-stroke woods bikes.

This is my next restoration project. I don't even have kids but there's just something about this little bike I love.

Two BMW F650GSs

I justify owning these two bikes so my bikeless brothers, neighbors and Harley friends can do some adventure riding/camping with me, .... like will Ferrell in 'Blades of Glory' says, "So the Lone Wolf doesn't have to be alone".

I'm proud of my 'Motorcycle to Wife Ratio' of four! She is pretty cool about it. ..... and if the snow would ever melt here in Northern Wisconsin we could ride.

Three thumpers here. The DR200 is the commuter bike, the DR350 is the trail bike, and the DR650 is the touring bike.

'12 Christini 450DS AWD replaced my '03 CRF450R for trail and SM use.

'02 Honda XR650R dual sported for longer distance dual sporting and commuting.

Just because. No need to justify.
