3,700 according to bmbikes.

The funny thing is that Mystic parts like the tail and dash sells really well on fleabay.

The /5 looks better than the Mystic, I must agree, but the tubeless wheels and stopping power are real sell points.

That intended use would make it /5 for me.
Just as I keep loving my R60/6 (now with dual Brembo disk for safety and 1000cc: 70hp instead of 40, great for overtaking.) While others came and went (R100GS, R90S, F650, R1100GS, Schek-R80G/S to name the BMW's) the /6 is the keeper and most lovely to ride.
The /6 basic looks and features can't be beaten for me. Why would a /5 be different? Maybe short wheel base or drum frontbrake? No worries there! Hell the original drum on my R60/6 was better then the single disk on the GS or the double ATE disks on the 90S, if only my wrist didn't get hurt and I lost some force in my hand, I would still run the drum just because it looks fine and works just as well.
Hey, you want it just for short runs and looking at it, there is no question in my world on that.

for this dilema I'll go for the /5
I love the 4 speed gearbox, engine etc are bullet proof.
comfort is fantastic with long travel fork (not on the Mystic)
Breaks are not as good as mystic but you've to have well maintened breaks and to drive it as an old lady

Cool2 Mystic Toast

The /5 is a more neutral handling bike and the Mystic feels a bit "nosier", more like a K bike.

I've got an R100R which is just about the same thing but a slight bit better looking. Rode it across the country from Oregon to Vermont for the Burlington rally and back - 7500 miles in three weeks. Low bars, no windscreen and enjoyed every minute of it, well, almost. All except getting lost on the freeway around Washington DC for five hours. Grrrrrrrr

I've also got an R75/5 that needs restoring and an R60/5 but haven't ridden it much. I sold an R60/5 to an X GF and worked on and rode that one.

So I've experienced both.
