Your damn right its my ass that is the problem. Its bigger then my seat. Last distance I rode on a stock seat was Black Dog and that was the limit of miles.

Where do you find coordinates, I've tried Google maps, Mapquest and MapSource....

Just copy and paste one at a time to Google maps and then switch to satellite view in the top right corner of the page, should work.

Okay, just to add to this I went and clicked on the road image and Google has even driven an out of the way place like this! That's kind of scary... And I also answered my question, there is a gate at the top end.

There looks to be a power line road but I'm guessing it's all private land. I think this is in some of the area that you are thinking of riding on Friday?

I tried getting between those two coordinates a few years ago and found that everything off of Shearers Bridge Rd. to be private. I quickly got discouraged and gave up when one side road took routed me to a guys farm and where the road looked like it went much further according to the gps, was actually gated and part of his ranch. There could be a way to get up to the top but I never found it. I gave up up and rode over to the Grass Valley Race Track and watched some guys ripping it up.

i have commitments Friday but for some reason I took Saturday off. I had planned to get dirty but my partner backed out on me.
Maybe I should just go to work anyway and save my time off for rides this summer?

You know, I tried searching the coords several times, no go.
Then it finally just worked. Must have been something up with the internet settings or some crap I don't understand.

I've driven (cage & wife) Tygh Ridge Road several years back, and the area South from there seemed un-get-to-able.
I do not see any roads from Tygh Ridge Rd on Google Maps that went into that canyon just South of it,
but some other, maybe just Ranch Roads, lie North of Sherrars Rd.

Let's go find 'em.
I'm always open minded to exactly where; All rides shall be decided on the fly.
I just wanna start with a general goal each ride, and ride where whatever road leads me from there.
If I feel miss something near somewhere on one ride, then I have a GREAT excuse to go back again.

Sooooo. Apple jam can you ride Monday? Weather is looking decent. I need some ride on this side of pdx. Don't know about where but bought new gps and need to get some tracks saved on it. Also gonna start carrying side bags for practice this summer on obcdr. So nothing to Harry. Although any practice is good practice, even picking up the bike.

You are leaving from where? I'll peak at this mapping program from there. with my new Corbin seat I can ride 12 hours in comfort. Not to mention the heated gear. So you pick meet spot and I'll do a little research on riding area. Sound good. Oh yah and anyone else please join in!
