cool ride gents, looked like another good day to be on the bikes around the hood

Scenery looks suspiciously familiar from my JD ride the previous weekend. Those old OT cemeteries are a little spooky.

I may head out on Sun up on ketchum to John Mills rd to get the latest on the snow melt. Week before it was 3300ft, not expecting a lot.

We still have to stay a bit East of Hood River area, our hills are still snowed in at the top.
I've been looking at the Washington hills on my last few Oregon rides, and I think I'm due over there, again.
-Lyle, to Klickitat, Wahkiakus, then up to Appleton, to Glenwood, Trout Lake, etc. A big beautiful mostly paved route.
If I'm still on the Shadow, I'll likely want a more/less paved route, but I can throw in a couple of great gravel excursions off of that.

Sunday, I'm hoping to drive over the hill to my folk's place out Mill Creek, for Easter Sunday family gig.
I don't expect to have KaTy M back, so I'll drive the Dakota, unless the mushy snow gets too soft & deep.
I'll drive Mill Creek Ridge Rd, if I can, Ketchum's pit run is a bit uncomfortable.

aj, what did you end up having to order?

I've heard those orange parts forged with swiss alp glaciar water are a little pricey.

Pricey enough indeed that full coverage insurance seemed cheap.
Sombody else is writing this check, fortunately.
Some great aftermarket parts cost same/less than those Austrian Alp glacier water forged orange parts, so I got some goodies.
I still haven't called to bother the dealer to see where it's at in the fixing stage. Maybe today....

Finally getting the files out of my camera this morning. Can't even remember what it was like waiting for photos to come back from developing. Life has gotten easier but yet I've lazier go figure. Chose to bring my slr instead of the point and shoot so didn't get any on the fly shots.

Theme of the day had to be Green grass and high tides, no more like High winds and ball bearings. Which is what I felt like we were riding on half the day.

The look on Craigs face was priceless when he realized he wasn't first to the top. And btw you should change your handle to Burn, think about about.

Hey guys....Thanks for the great ride! One thing I absolutely loved about this, besides the great company and riding, was that there was no GPS involved. Craig (or is it Burn now) led us around like 100 different backroads with nothing but and old-skool paper map. Totally awesome, in my opinion!

Can't wait to head out again!
