Sorry not may pictures but I'll try and post a couple tomorrow. The highlights were definitely Pony Butte to Ashford and Muddy Creek road. Wanted to link that up with Apple Jam's last ride but ran out of time. We'll be back.

Interesting geological feature near the Rajneesh ranch

Yes, that was us waiting at the by the Lyle Diner, we remember noticing the two F800s of three bikes go past, wondering if they were ADVers.....

Damn. After this, now I REALLY HAVE TO go back to see Muddy Ranch.
A frickin' PDXer has been there !!

Well, that, and I skirted all around and missed the Painted Hills National Monument, too.
I went straight West to East all through there, and missed stuff on the North & South.

I do remember that/those rock formations at Cherry Creek Ranch, too, MadChap,
I remember that I had to look twice to make sure that it was not just an old rock wall.

Local to HR Ladukebob gave me this link about those ghost mining towns there, around Ashford....

It was a GREAT day for a ride Saturday!
We met at Lyle Mercantile, where a group of Pirates also met to ride HWY 97 to Yakima to have lunch in the big Casino there..... BORING !!

WE had a much more rural ride in mind.
BTW, Lyle Mercantile has some interesting products for sale...

Everytime I see a road called "Canyon Rd", it turns out to be a great moto-road (NOT counting Beaverton's Canyon rd )
That old Shadow scrapes both pegs & pipes on roads this fun

The wildflowers are out, here, enjoying the sun with us today

This Klickitat River makes me want to take up Fly Fishing.
Problem is, you have to stop the motorcycle to fish.
To take a pic, just use a lanyard around your neck, and click-n-ride....

The Dry Icehouse stop on the River was very nice and warm
The bikes enjoyed it too !

Saturday's Ride: Wahkiakus to White Salmon

We decided to take the Long way from Wahkiakus to Glenwood

Actually, we did not take this "Long Rd".
Roads like that need a proper map (Shadow's bags won't fit my WA Atlas), and a proper bike like KaTy M.
But it was worth a pic

At our "Elk Stop" we heard the bugle...
My camera has poor zoom compared to el guapo nada's, so I took a picture of him taking the pic of the elk.

Conboy Lake National Wildlife Refuge is a huge area. The lake is actually more like just a series of swamps much of the year.
In April, there is still a lake, with the view of Mt. Adams

At Glenwood's lunch stop we had a great burger with Sweet Potato Fries

These pics are of the White Salmon River, along Sunnyside Rd

The Bridge Shot on the way down Hwy 141 fom Trout Lake....

What a great way to spend a sunny and warm Spring Day

Great pics, AJ! I am jealous as I was stuck at work Saturday and my Sunday ride was something less than sunny and dry...

After a HUGE breakfast at the Bunny Barbecue Sunday morning,
I rode Shadow to The Dalles on Sunday for Easter Dinner with my extended Family there out Mill Creek Rd.

It was sunny, warm, and very nice all the way there & back, until the last 3 miles of pouring rain near home.

I spent most of my day sitting in beautiful, sunny and warm Government Camp. Yup, you guessed it, she came off the truck with a very dead battery! I should have seen that one coming... And just a word about a Inmate that sells a bike on ADV and says "Oh ya, it's running great I took it for a spin just the other day!" Ya, RIGHT, maybe a year ago! I have a feeling this is going to cost me but she'll be a very good bike once she's back to health. I did make it home but that's it for right now.

Beautiful 950, MC. If the battery is the only issue, IMO, you did well. Then again, I really like the 9fiddy.

Yeah, I probably should have headed out a lot earlier and East Got a late start and ran smack into a downpour running around near Mt. Angel.

I wish the battery was the only thing! This bike came out of LA and they were more concerned about what it sounds like (anyone want to buy a set of Leo Vance SBK's). Then there's the starter, sounds like a coffee grinder! But hay, buy the time I get all the bugs out of it she will be a great bike. Hopefully I don't find any BIG bugs.

Nice looking bike Craig, sorry to hear it has a few problems. Nothing I hate worse is having to unexpectedly fix things that shouldn't be broke.

Did I pass you Sat. around Tucker Park? I was on my way home from GC, it would have been around 4:30 or 5...

Probably was. My wife made plans for the evening but I had 30 minutes to kill so I went for a quick spin. I was tempted to swing by the bunny event but knew that would just get me into trouble.

GC?
