Got soaked on yesterday morning's Shadow commute.

aj, when are you heading over to the fairground to lend a hand with blackdog route prep? Hearing any signs of a big orange ktm in parkdale?

been prepping the bike for BB in the garage last couple of evenings, looking very sexy with new d606's front and rear.

I'm thinking I'll head over Wednesday sometime, and get campspot staked out, and help pre-run Thursday & Friday.
Wether Wed morn or eve depends on how much work I can get done Tuesday.

I have not received "the call" yet. But I was promised it would be finished by Black Dog.
So I'm assuming I'll have to head into PDX Tuesday to pick it up, screwing up that workday, so I'll likely not make the Dog until Wed eve.
I'll be riding the Black Dog like a rookie, having not ridden the big beast for over two months. Get your cameras ready....

I should have taken a photo of all the snow they had piled up so that you could drive in there.

for all the riders here in the gorge you can make it to the North Lake, Mt Defiance trail head on road 2820 and then a wall of snow! still about a mile shy of Rainy Lake.

The road to Wahtum Lake stopped me just before the last deep valley below the lake Thursday evening.
A big long snowdrift, and a big log across the road just past that.
The East Hills are still closed, then, except where it's been plowed.

I went through a negligently open gate from the Green Point side, due to the current logging operations up there.
There are so many cool roads up there between Green Point and Wahtum,
I rode around for hours.

Then I had to, um..."unhook" a steel cable to get through a gate on the Wahtum side,
to avoid backtracking back to Green Point.
