you know those little single track "DR" trails up behind craigs place? I was introduced for the first time to many of the little gems during the blackdog ride. Had no idea how nice of an area that is.

part 1 just in case you didn't get enough from part 2 above. Encountered a few lost souls, as the vid starts out, even though the coarse was extremly well marked

It's that time of year again when people start going for hikes in the woods and having medical problems and yes, worse

and we get to go for hikes and get them out! Some times we even get to use toys as pack mules...

Mark loading stuff back on his bike, he even had a snow shovel in there somewhere!

North lake, And no, we did not ride to this spot! Some things you still have to do by foot... To much snow all so!

18 minutes from my door to trail head, not to bad for about 12 miles.

craig, sounds like there's a story to this latest rescue. Good to be in the right spot at the right time.

I didn't have to turn my bike into a pack mule, but was flagged down by a lost hiker up off Surveryors Ridge on my way back to the fairgrounds on Sat (day 1) of the blackdog event. The female hiker was extremely scared and disoriented after taking a wrong turn and getting separated. The jerk husband of coarse who left her in the dust had the pack with food, map, cell, etc, and he was at least 10 miles away as the cross flies.

As for the "Story" not really. Having a heart attack in the middle of the a wilderness area I would think it's kind of up to how you view life but it's a beautiful area.

As for your "hiker" event along Surveyors Ridge, those are always fun!

How would you like to be the husband/boyfriend after that little goof...

Hey Hood riders, if you venture across the big river over to the Buck Creek area -- e.g., Nestor Peak, where Black Dog has run through the last two years -- you will need one of these Discover Passes, at 30 bucks a year. I have 5 words for this: What a crock of shit. (But that sentiment is already being expressed in this thread.)
