These are from her first trip on a trail in Utah called "5 Miles of Hell." (it is actually 7 miles long) We were riding it with our friends from Colorado.

For those that don't know about the trail, it is 7 miles of one rock obstacle after another broken up by a few nearly impossible to ride sand washes. The trail is marked with paint marks on the rocks.

Those photos were taken before I got my trials bike and learned to avoid dabs and the outrigger affect. Not my proudest moments!

So, you put me to shame with even your lesser accomplishments.

Here is one of her on her trials bike

That sort of practice made this little steep and rocky easy for her.

No, no, seize the opportunity.

When I used to shoot pool, I always played against the best players I could find, figuring I would gain more by losing to a good player, than by winning over poor one. I knew I would never learn anything from someone who played worse than I did.

Just hope she brings the V-Strom with like, say, about 900 lbs of "performance equalizing ballast" and a throttle restrictor plate with a very tiny throttle-body opening, like they do in some auto racing series to try and keep it competitive.

And bring your camera, SPOT, and a good first aid kit
