Thanks much AJ and MS for hosting!

Barb, your bike is in the Jam's barn. It was easier to catch a ride into Hood River, with Easy-Z as he was leaving, and ride it back to Jeff and Shelly's place. Hope you heal up fast.

That was fun! A good way to spend my birthday weekend. Great ride yesterday, AssRiver was having a great time and I kept myself busy by trying to keep up with him. I keep finding new bruises from my little get-off. It was nice to know I wasn't the only one. I tried to count, and I think there were only 4 or 5 bikes out of the 13 that didn't end up on its side at one point or another. Fortunately only one trip to the hospital and it wasn't anything too major. Barbara, you'll be giving us the thumbs up very soon.

Jeff and Shelly I will be coming up the valley more often to set up residence in your garage. Hopefully the donations bowl helped with the costs. Next time it's a potluck. Y'all don't need to be footin the bill like that. Thanks again!

I am glad to report that the two V-Stroms were in that group of 4 or 5 bikes that didn't end up on their side. I know I came close a couple of times, but close doesn't count if you save it. If that one steep and rocky hill right after lunch would of went on much longer, I may of joined the "bike on its side group." Did what I could to keep it off its side as they are just to darn heavy to pick up.

Had a great time. Only took a few pictures and don't know when I will have time to post them.

More water crossings

Barb's first water crossing and she handled it like a pro.

I caught AJ going up suicide grade, he had to go around the bike some jackass parked in the middle of the road

Most of us had no idea it was an out and back trip when we crossed the stream so of course we had to come back across the stream.

Here come big John full of style and grace

Let see if Mat takes Suzy's line.

Here comes Zac

Doing ok!!!

Thank you Jeff and shelly for a great weekend.
And thank you EVERYONE for your support !!! I had a blast and you ALL get a "thumbs up" --- at the moment 24/7 for about a week!
At least the thing is back in its socket, too, much less painful.

Ah! What an eye opener that was for a beginner like me! But I loved every minute of it and will definetely join future rides (with a little more practice), offroad tires, good pegs and good boots.
Jeff, thank you for storing my bike, I hope to retrieve it within a week or so.
Al, thank you for great pictures!

Cheers!

Jeff and Shelly, Thanks for putting up with us and setting this weekend up. It was a blast, I got home about 10:30pm Saturday night and only hit rain in the last 10 mins or so. Barbara and Joe it was great to meet you, we'll be riding together again before too long I'm sure. One of the great things about these meetups is that there is always some peopel around who are wearing a smile as broad as yours (unless you are Suzie who really didn't stop smiling for one second!). It was a great weekend. My pictures didn't come out great (others have posted much better of most of what I captured). Here's a couple though;
