Question Leaking F800 GS

Where is this damn leak coming from?! A friend of mine says he has this problem with his 800GS, but it seems excessive to me. I'm sure someone here has a clue on what is leaking and how to fix? FYI i haven't had a problem with the bike over heating. Thanks!

I use to working on BMW motorcycles and when the 800's first came out I had one with this same problem. I just spent the last couple minutes looking at your photos trying to remember what the hell I did to fix it, but I can't. I'll keep trying to remember and if I do I'll let you know.

BMW had problems with the valve cover seal at the F800. I think mine looked the same but it is gone with a new seal.

Water pump. Specifically from the weep hole. Take a look up at the bottom of the pump.

I just kept filling her up. That is until I replaced it...then I totalled the bike...ah, good times. Someone else will have to tell you specifically how to fix it. I just replaced the whole pump. It may not be necessary but it worked.

dunno, but that looks like a leaking head gasket from the picture. could be luck & have it be the pump gasket though....

Thumbs down Damn

Not sure this is going to be a fix i can take on. Looks like there might be more than just water leaking. Unless its dirty but i think there is some oil leaking. DAMN DAMN DAMN.

Thanks for the part number Beez.

I agree - the weep hole of the water pump. Just went through this on mine too.
