Correct. And it worked fine. I'm assuming one of the lines still had air in it

200 bucks huh??? Always run premix when you first get em going. You can use Sabre at 70 to 1. Sounds like you need to find a 2 stroke guy and have em help out.

You say that as if learning and ruining things are mutually exclusive when in fact, they're often one in the same.

+ 1000. My first two stroke rebuild lasted a week. I rebuilt that old bike 4 times in four years. If most two stroke fans tell the truth..... They've all had similar experiences.

You will have it going again in no time. At least you don't have to rebuild the forks again

I know I know. I need to stop being a whiny baby and get on with it. As soon as I get some time I'll pull the top end again and post pics of the damage.

Welp, catastrophic piston seizure. I blew her up, fellas!!! So, I will be very careful next time, and yes, there will be a next time. I'm going to shop around and see if I can buy a jug and piston elsewhere for cheaper. I just dont have 250 clams right this second. So if you're parusing ebay, let me know if you find anything.

Here's the proof...

So, is there a reason why people run black oil lines.? I've found the proper sized fuel line in clear that I could run and then be certain I've got oil going to the head. Is it UV damage? Anyway, gonna go shop on ebay. I"m stalled for now, will get back with you soon. Thanks for all the help!

From these picture it is certain the ports were not chamfered after re-boring. Question, did you fit the piston woth the rings installed to see how tight it was before putting it all back together? If the fit was loose, the shop who did the rebore did a bad job. Too much clearance = skirt damage as shown in those pictures.

It felt tight to me, but this was also my first time so maybe I'm a poor judge. So, you can tell from the pics that the ports were not chamfered? So, I just felt the ports and they are a bit sharp. Do I really have any recourse in this situation? Just wondering if I should take it to another shop or show them the damage and see what they say. I got a bit of a tutorial from them about cleaning the surfaces well, but nothing on the ports. I'm really good at learning the hard way.
