The dreaded stator issue (flywheel bolts out)
Hey guys,
Question for you: the flywheel bolts came out and messed up the stator on my 04' 950 (poor me ) and it looks as though the resultant swarf has cut a groove into the inside "corner" of the flywheel. Is anyone able to confirm whether this is a problem or not or am I okay to just to smooth it off and chuck in another stator?Cheers, Pete PS. some searching on here found that this has happened before on my very bike for the PO: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=142664 |

I would have a engine shop balance the flywheel. If you have one near by..
Its just pure gut but It would bug the heck out of me worrying about the balance of something spinning that fast by my left leg.. Dave
