Wow John, when you do something, you do it right. I was out west doing my honeymoon ride with my bride (got married in June at Nationals) when you did this. I was out for 17 days, (wife flew back from Seattle) , I did 6,200 miles with the Goldwing/Hannigan sidecar rig.

Left from Greenville, TX on Aug 5th and got home Aug 22. Stay safe brotha, praying for a quick recovery and we'll see you at Colors.

On a serious note I hope you are doing well. Heal up and get to rebuilding that beast of a bike.

healing up great, well beyond anything the Doc can believe. today it has been two weeks and the ENT says I look like its been 6months of healing. All is great.

I have the bike torn down to frame engine and rear suspension. Work on it some more to night. I have to strip the whole thing to replace the frame. It's been tweeked a little.

just for comparison here is the neck before the crash

Finding a clean frame is not easy nor cheap. I may just buy another sporty and swap the dual sport parts.

Is it to early to ask what happened?

Question

I dont remeber a thing. Just woke up in the er. Doc thinks my blood sugar droped to low from not eating or drinking and I zoned out. Cops don't know. They said nothing makes since to them. Other person in accident doesn't know either. So all I have to go on us the dr. s guess.

I had a similar crash where i couldnt quite figure out how it happend. It was like part of the memory was erased from the impact. Over a few months that went by, the memory of the event started to come back in my dreams - at least i think it did.

Anyway, thats one bent bike!

Eek

That is odd. I think mine is gone for good, they could have told I pulled over and a cow kicked me in the nose, I wouldn't know any different. In a way I guess that good, doesn't mess with the head.

I have started the bike and it still sounds great, so I'm almost to the point of pulling the motor. I'm half tempted just to build a chopper and sell off the dual sport parts. I built one a few years ago and it was great fun.

I'm going to attribute that sort of thinking to your accident. Carry on rebuilding the dual sport.
