...But the previous owner had me a little surprise on the cable connections, so I left it there, hanging, until I figure out what has he done with the cables...

And the blind goddess left me for good....

Can't seem to get anything right today....

It wont budge, and after the screw accident I was to afraid to try drastic measures...

So, left it there and simply removed the plastic sprocket cover above it....

The pads may just be dragging on the rear rotor. Can you get something between them to push them apart just a bit? Should be easy as the brake system is apart.
The calipers may be stuck, probably want to rebuild them.
Very simple as it is usually just some clean up and new seals.

Got it, thanks, will do tonight!

As for the rebuild on the little things (e.g. the calipers), I'm leaving them for when the whole bike will be on carton boxes and the frame for painting!

I don't know what you have in Greece, but you will find the best selection of penetrating oil at a marine repair supply place. Those mechanics on boats and ships know everything there is to know about freeing rusted parts and cleaning the rust off metal.

I use Naval Jelly here in the states to clean rust off old metal parts. You probably have the equivalent or better for boat repair in Greece.

The best of luck to you on your bike Odyssey.
