Florida - West Palm Area

Hello Folks:

I need a hotel room "anywhere" within a 50 mile radius of West Palm Beach. So far, the on-line prices are very high. Anyone have a recommendation for where to stay in that area that is affordable and not a roach-motel?

This time of the year all the snow birds are down, you will have a tough time getting under $100. On january 1 most all the hotels raise their rates by at least 50%. Once you start going inland there ain't much.

There is a motel in South Bend , south shore of Lake Okeechobee thats about $65 , but I have no idea about the quality.

The Glades Inn was recommended by a fishing buddy of mine. Its a bit of a haul to West palm though.

The Glades Inn is located on U.S. 27 in the town of Moore Haven
(Ph: 863-946-2642).

Thanks for the response. I will check that one out... Yeah, I guess I am going to fork out some $$$. BTW, I will be in Tampa the following weekend to visit my brother.
