Nice report and photos. Thanks for taking the time to write it up and post.

Thanks Wayne!

Great report to keep a guy happy and dreaming. You were a little shy on time but I recommend the jaunt over to Yellow Pine from Warren on your next jaunt. I never did a report on last summers 5 dayer in that area and east out to Arco. You got me motivated. Glad you like our beautiful state.

Thanks for the kind comments guys.

I spoke to a couple of fellows at the Stomp about Yellow Pine. It seems they arrived there around the same time we passed it by and it was in the middle of a harmonica festival or something like that. The town was packed and they had a great time. I'm sorry we missed it. Oh well, next time.

Hi Wayne,
Great ride report, makes me long for a dual sport and to park the ST for a while. We tried to ride the road from Elk river down to Orifino last summer but it had just rained and the road was muck. Not something the ST liked.
Reading ride reports like this helps with the cabin fever of being snow bound here in Canoe!!

Thanks for checking in Brian. Why not own both? KLR's are relatively cheap and I sure like the combination. Riding that road in the dry would have been doable on the ST, but no where near as much fun as on the KLR. Although I'm not sure I would have saved it on the ST when I was surprised by that log truck.

Let's do this again

Hey Wayne,

I've probably worn out most of the pictures I've looked at them so many times. Let's do this one again and add in some more roads.

Enjoyed your report. Rode to Glacier through Oregon and Idaho last summer and had a great time. We shared some of the same routes. Great photos of the area.
