Question Know anything about Yamaha XT600?

I'm thinking about picking one up. The price is right, but I don't know anything about the XT600. This one is 1986-87ish, that seems to be well cared for (with manual and receipts of word done).

What do you think about riding a DS that's over 2 decades old across alaska?

Grab it!

Snag it up! make a friend or two in washington state to ship you parts before the trek! A spun cam chain WILL not out run a grizzly! just a rumor?

Just sold mine 2 days ago... it was a 1985.
Bullet proof and LOADS of fun... I just had to go for the "magic" button.
The newer models have e-start.

Definitely, GO FOR IT!

Sorry Tobias I think I just bought the one you were looking at. I wouldn't imagine there are more than ONE of the same bike for sale in our area. The clutch cable broke off at the ferrel by the lever when we were looking it over but other than that it's pretty solid with many new parts installed in the past year!! Gotta love the ammo can panniers too!! I'll get pics up soon.

yep. I sat on the decision too long. I love older bikes, but I think I'm going to wait for another KLR to come along in my budget.

But you better put up some pics of that thing in motion!
