Wicked The K75 is home

Well, can not leave well enough alone. Found a K75 with 12k on the clock for $1200. The bike runs like a champ, tires are good Metzes and the only real issue is a missing bag latch and battery cover; both of which are already sitting on my work bench.

Let the project begin!!

Laugh Going to do

Well, where did I find it? A hole in the wall, rice-burner, used cycle shop. The bike was a trade and pushed to the back of the shop; the ugly duckling!

What does it need? It was down, did the K75 squirt the locking latch Thing off the right bag. Since I knew about it, I got it from Duck and it is already mounted. It was missing the left battery cover; knew about it and got a replacement from beemer boneyard.

Now I will ride it for a week or two and see what it needs. Full fluid change and plug change is a given.

The Metzler's are fine and until when they are down I will get some Bridgestone Spirits; per Duck a good choice.

The real work will be the painted parts. It has rock chips and scraches on the lower part of the fairing. It will be tackled one panel at a time

That is the plan; updates as they happen.

Beautiful bike!

I still think of myself as fairly young at 40, yet my first brand new bike was a 1992 K75S, which is now in "Old's Kool"??? Oh no!

I've often thought about getting another K75S for street work, but I'm up to my armpits in a 75 CB400F rebuild.

as cool as a 400f is, I'd take a K75 and ride the crap out of it.

That's a screaming deal on a good looking example of a great bike.

Nice work.

I showed my wife your bike (she has owned two BMW GS's)...She asked me 'why' I didn't find and buy that bike for her...

'well, sorry honey...it was in a different state...and I didn't know about it'.

'oh, that's CHEAP.'

'yes honey, it is'.

I'm vomiting over how good a deal this is. I've been wanting exactly one of these for some time, and at $1200 there's no way I'd be able to deny myself one.
Happy trails, and put some real miles on that thing!

I thought Blaine wasn't too fond of his..

But, at $1200, I'd learn to be fond of one!

Nice.

A friend has a K75C with a Corbin seat and nicely sorted suspension (works performance two piece fork springs and a quality shock) and I swear it has just about the finest suspension action of any bike I've ridden. A real cream puff mile eater.
