Let me toot our horn here a bit - If you go with our TAPP Lite All-weather power port and GPS cable you get about the same set up but with a replaceable cable. And... you have a handy USB power port for charging your cell phone or other USB device.
The downside is that it's a bit more costly, but compared to most other motorcycle accessories, it's still mice-nuts and you have more functionalilty.
Both are available from GPS City.
http://www.gpscity.com/3br-powerspor...nt-saddle.html
http://www.gpscity.com/3br-powerspor...-9-inches.html (9" cable)
12" & 18" cables are available as well.
Agreed! We have one of these cables on my wife's F650GS and it's held up better than the Garmin cables which preceded the 3br. Also, the fact that it's a standard usb socket on the end means when we need to charge an iPhone, it works.

Definitely more versatile than the Garmin cable.

Thanks for the reminder.

I was using an off the shelf cable, and it would continuously do that data mode switching. Very annoying. Also, it seems to have trouble keeping cables in. Is there a possibility that this one will fit better than others?

GPSCity.com stocks the 3BR cables.

Look a few posts back and you'll find the GPSCity links.

Sent using strings and tin cans and Tapatalk.

Website

Curious why the website didn't show up. It has been reworked but you can get there through the home page:
http://www.3brpowersports.com/products_usb_cables.php

Specifically here:
http://www.3brpowersports.com/products_usb_cables.php

As MBD points out GPS City is one of our dealers. Good outfit to deal with (as are all of our dealers )
Look at the "Where to Buy" to find GPS City link

The 3BR GPS power cable will power your GPSr but you not have the traffic feature. The traffic antenna is built into the Garmin traffic power cable.

Do you guys have a PayPal alternative to Google? I already have PayPal and really don't want to go through yet another outfit.

PayPal if you are patient. Google is going away next month. Not just for us but going away, going away. All Google Wallet merchants have to find another merchant services provider.
We are in the midst of switching to PayPal. It's going a bit slow due our webmaster just becoming a new dad and family has first priority at 3BR Powersports.
A short term alternative is a phone order or send an email to one of the emails on the "Contact Us" page. We can issue a PayPal Invoice (PI) which can be paid with any credit card or PayPal.
Sorry for the convoluted payment methods but we should have the switch-over done soon. Google has left us no choice
Cheers,
-Shov
BTW - we are headed to the AIM Expo in Orlando, leaving on Monday and not returning until the following week. However, we will still be able to handle phone orders or PIs.

Okay, I just purchased one of your cables, anything to get my Nuvi 550 to act appropriately again. If it works I will need a second one for the other bike.
