Bike Breaker?

As we gear up the tailgate racer parked next to Sean told us the route we had planned was a bike breaker. Hmm… Maybe this is foreshadowing of events to come? Only thing to do is shrug our shoulders and find out for ourselves.

Here we are on our way to what we are told will be our bikes destruction. VIDEO

This is one of those rare occasions when a camera is fast enough to catch me in action. Bwaahahahahaha!

Colby & I are on the other hill.

This might have been my favorite section of the trail. Hard to say, it was all fun. VIDEO

One neat thing about this trail is there is enough elevation change to make the bikes run different. In this picture we are discussing just that.

Looking back

Sean barfs up the previous night’s alcohol and suddenly feels much better.
I continue to barf up my lungs from a cold two weeks ago and feel the same.

Colby

Hmmm… This section was really fun. Maybe this was my favorite?
Check out that crazy rock on the right at 11 seconds.
At the end of this one I’m pulling cactus from my little finger. Nice.

Some more helmet cam for you to live vicariously through. VIDEO

Jerry

No Hondas to hold Sean’s bike up this ride. I think he figured this rock would weigh about the same.

It’s not all brown here…

Here I tried to follow Colby’s line through these rocks. Where he was able muscle & momentum his way through my 120 lb ass was stopped cold. After a minute of trying to get unstuck, I give up. Put the bike down and drag it to a place I can ride out of. Shameless…

In this picture you can see Jerry is in the line I should have taken. More bike dragging... Thanks for the immortalization Sean.

Next we head back to the trucks and one fingernail polish red Ridgeline.
Sean & Jerry call it a day while Colby and I gas up for round two.

Here Colby gets though the slot in Heavy Metal.

Yes it really is so narrow you have to stand on the seat to get through.

From here we covered another 20 miles of trail before packing it in.

Another highlight is we saw our first Gila Monster & snake of the season. Spring is here!

No this is not my picture. I am not stupid enough to stop next to a poisonous lizard that snaps at me as I go by.

Bike breaker? No way. That was great! Definitely one to put in rotation.

dandm95 Great ridegreat pics and write up. Those trails are harder than they look I'm sure. Steep and slotted. I'll be looking for more. KJ

It certainly looks like a bike and bone breaker!

Sean uploaded some more video.

At the five minute mark on this one I stated to wonder where all the rocks are. Well that is what I get for wondering! Still not too bad for AZ. VIDEO

More Jeep road with just enough rocks sprinkled on to keep it interesting. VIDEO

Pick-Axe, another trail that is fast becoming a favorite. VIDEO
