For a KTM LC4 640 with FCR carb and airbox mods...which is the better exhaust system???...

A KTM full Ti AKRAPOVIC or the REMUS TWIN FIRE dual Ti and stainless setup???...

What heads do you have? what FCR do you have?

Boejangles and I have the FCR39, he has the 03 ho flo head with a full Akra system. I have an 02 with the KTM SCX pipe.

On the dyno (Factory) he made about 1-2 hp more than mine at peak, but otherwise tracked neglagebly different. My torque was possibly just a hair earlier.

From my perspectice, I was glad I spent ~$250 instead of the money on the Akras. Boejangles probably feels happy too.

But then you add the noise levels. Akras tested out >96 Db at only 3500 RPM running 98+ at 4250 (half redline). Round here, that might get you a ticket.

makes you think that the Akras are trying to let loose some amount of power that is just not there? All that breathing but only 1-2 more HP. but i dont know WTF i am talkin about.

BTW, there is a thread on LC4 exhausts buddy:

http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=34615

Staintune should be up there with any discussion of schweet setups

EDIT: oh, BTW, where is that Sebring review people?

Sebring is Remus, correct? I believe Sebring is the marketing name they use over in Europe, but the exact same manufacturer as Remus. Correct me if I'm wrong....

That's good info. But I have never seen the Sebring system pictured on that thread I linked distributed as a Remus... maybe they don't wanna? Check out Staintune; price is good and the quality is supposed to be excellent. It will meet all US standards as Aussie-land is more stringent on noise. Oh, and mechanical baffles so no maintenance.
