Don't worry, Per, of course I will love you come but if not possible we will make a special edition for you and others that can't come this time

We'll talk about the subject at the Raid, after a stage and with some cold beers

Count me in! And I can imagine some guys that will gladly return

Regarding this year's meeting, Luís why didn't you tell me that there would be hotdogs?!?! Therefore and in the quality of Luís aide-de-camp I hereby decree that Per must be present. (I hope this is enough )

Just can't wait for this

Cheers

Damn, I'm so sad I used all my leave from work. Otherwise I'd be well up for doing this. Looks brilliant and thanks so much for taking all the trouble to organise this. I hope to join you next year.

You're welcome, Ceri! Next year the Advrider Rally hopefully will be anywhere else, but always welcome to the several portuguese events that take place all over the year and the country

Recos done! Some details missing yet, after Raid de l'Amitié we will be back to the subject.

But before I have an important change to make:

The second point stated before:

2 – Soft & Comfort option, (hereafter SCO) little hotels or farm houses, lunch on the go but dinners always at restaurants, soft dirty roads accessible even with passenger, predefined stages… No need for camping gear. For this option people will be asked to make reservation and pay hotels reservation fees. THIS OPTION WILL ONLY TAKE PLACE WITH A MINIMUM OF 6 PARTICIPANTS CONFIRMED BEFORE 8TH APRIL 2011! You have one month to decide…

And now changes to:

2 - NSH option (Not So Hard... former SCO) as the name implies, is a ride on tracks not as difficult as VaP, with few tarred roads, accommodation in small hotels or even private houses, lunch on the go responsibility of each participant and dinner at restaurants. It can be done with passenger for a offroad experienced rider, but some paths will require the passenger to walk a little, not more than a couple of hundred meters. Some points, a few, bikes will have to overcome obstacles with mutual aid. There is however always the possibility of tar roads alternatives.

Can only be guaranteed places in this option for those who sign up until next May, 2. Subsequent entries will be subject to availability of accommodation sites.

Explaining the change: Basically, what was to be an option with a completely different route compared to VAP, is now following the VAP trails (although probably not coincident in time) with alternatives by tarred roads or less difficult trails. NSH trails said "less difficult" - of course compared with VAP - still have alternatives on tar roads, where participants may choose making them in autonomy up to predetermined GPS meeting points. This amendment was decided after finding on the recos that the VAP is unsurpassable in scenic landscapes and quality trails at the region. Thanks to Quim (VaP mentor), for a absolutly fantastic choice of trails.

Hope this change doesn't affect previous inscriptions, cann't find a reason for it, and I can assure you all a much better Rally now!
