Bullet Proof Helmet

I want to know if Bullet proof full face helmets exist

I see plenty of anti-riot helmets, etc. but I want to know if bulletproof full face helmets exist-

I mean it seems like a good idea to me...

I heard an argument that a motorcycle couldn't be bulletproof and still take the impact of a crash without smushing in your head- I don't know if I agree with this argument.

Having assisted in the design of an actual riot helmet, they are not bullet proof. However, an EOD (bomb disposal) helmet shield will offer more protection but at significant weight gain. Also, what kind of bullet (calibre, grain and FPS).

I would say forget about it. A ballistic motorcycle helmet would be a nightmare to design.

"Bulletproof" is a matter of debate. It depends on the caliber of the bullet. I have researched and designed many bulletproof products and I can tell you that 9 mm and other common rounds are relatively easy to stop, but the M16 .223 caliber round is very hard to stop. It is very fast and has a small caliber so most armor has no chance.

NOTHING is bullet proof, things can be bullet resistant, but not bullet proof. It is like the misnomre water proof, as nothing is water proof either, only water resistant. well, maybe not NOTHING but very very few things. NOTHING you can wear is bullet proof.

The real question is: do they make a Honey Badger proof helmet?
