On the flipside of that coin, I have personally seen a middle aged, overweight gentleman do things with a Honda Hawk that were simply amazing. It's like a squid yin-yang.

I have watched a guy on a DRZ400SM out run (ride) 3 well set up sport bikes in the twisties around Uwharrie National Forest. Me and my XR650L was a very distant 5th after blowing my 3rd curve with my lack of talent, recovered and just stayed close enough to watch the guys go at it ahead. Was worth watching.

I don't even need to say anything...

The infamous Maybach Busa for sale!!! - $15000 (Charlotte)

2006 Hayabusa fully custom. Custom wheels, single-sided swingarm with a 360 rear tire. Custom paint with some road wear and tear, because I ride it. Approx. 22000 miles on it and is in great condition. Pictures don't do this any justice. The price I'm asking is firm, so I'm not moved if you show up with 10,000, you'll go home with 10,000.

I really hope that was prior to the customization. Although, at ~3100miles/yr, that's only a couple trips to and from bike week.

A picture is worth a thousand words, but after looking at this picture I'm at a loss for words... although I did throw up in my mouth a little bit.

1998 DR350 for only $950. It isn't pretty, but for the price, why not?

Nice waterbottle holder.
Actually I take it back. White on a bike is just waiting to be dirty.

1991 Yamaha TW200 Very Custom - $1800 (Lynchburg city)

91 TW200. 9000 miles. Extended swing arm, New bushings, Battery-less system(no battery but full lights) , Relocated electronics, Bridgestone street tires, Pro taper SE bars, I have brush guards I'll thrown in if interested, Uni Pod filter, K&N oil breather, Properly jetted carb, New rear sprocket and chain. The bike needs nothing. Gets tons of looks and compliments. It's the perfect bike for the city/country. I average between 70-80mpg. I have much bigger faster bikes and this one gets the most use because its so fun. It will handle the highway. I have the stock swing arm and sprocket if you would like them. This bike is zero maintenance except for the 1 quart of oil it takes and gas.

I will post better pics soon. Please feel free to ask any questions about the bike.

Tough to sell, but I have other bikes I'm building and need room in the stable.

-Well, my pics aren't uploading properly. Include a number or your email in your response and I'll text or email pics.

Ray
bikes are 95% rider on the road.
sumo bikes have the advantage of being a lot more forgiving in "adverse" traction situations, aka, gravel, potholes, etc.
my 954 if she started sliding, I had to just pin the throttle and pray it would slide smooth. same with if I happened to lock the rear brake, stay locked and hope it worked out. if it "caught" traction, I was going to be highsided. and that hurts.
Sumo's tend to just slide all over anyway.
