This would make for a cool little backup bike, or one to teach someone to ride with.

For my wifes sake, I hope that's not available next weekend when I'll be in Charleston...

I guess I could post mine up.
ADV price is $1000.

http://greenville.craigslist.org/mcy/4078864338.html

2004 GS500 Suzuki - $1250 (Spartanburg/York)

This bike has been well used. I'm the second owner, bought it from a friend in 2007.It has 46348 miles. It has been well maintained but obviously isn't even remotely new.

The bad news: My wife low-sided it last May in a hairpin turn, headed up to Caesars Head. It came out pretty much ok except for the fairings. I have stripped them and installed a headlight and turn signals. There are also various scratches and cracks in the rear plastics.
Also since it has been sitting up, it seams pretty cold natured. Carbs could probably use a cleaning.

The good news: This bike has some pretty decent mods. K&N lunchbox airfilter (replaces airbox, not a drop in), FMF slip-on exhaust, carbs jetted for intake and exhaust, Racetech springs and emulators, with 15weight fork oil. Katana rear wheel to allow a 160 tire(vs stock 130 rear), two position adjustable dog-bone on rear suspension, nice aluminum fork brace, adjustable hand levers, and I believe I still have a Katana rear shock to go with it.

Thanks for looking.
Jonathan

It seems as though he has seen the error in his ways and fixed his ad.
