Their prices were better than the dealers around me for new when I was last in the market.
Only caveat, when they say "out the door" price they are assuming you are an out of state ebay buyer. That price does not include sales tax.

Sales tax to the dealer, property tax with the tag I think. At least they wanted to add tax to mine but I wasn't transferring a tag so that could be it.

Man, I want Blast bad. I really want to convert one to a dual sport. I need one cheaper and more beat up than that though. That isn't a bad price at all for a runner though.

2008 Kawasaki KLR 650 dual sport / street legal - $1500 (Clemson/Central)

2008 Kawasaki KLR 650 - 7,400 original miles

Here's the story: The bike was run low on oil and suffered major engine failure. The dealer paid out the warranty and returned the bike as you see it in the pictures. The bike is complete - I have all the parts, including the damaged engine (which is in pieces). All the parts that oil pressure does not effect, such as the casings on both sides, stator, starter, clutch, etc... is still in good condition. There is over $500 worth of good parts from this damaged motor alone that could be sold online (ebay). The bike is ready to have a new motor bolted on...original carb, radiator, chain...everything is still there.

It would be more cost effective and less risky to just put a used motor on the bike from another wrecked KLR rather than to try to repair this one. Low oil pressure does terrible things to a motor and it's not worth repairing this one (new head and crank shaft would cost essentially as much as a used complete motor). I will do this myself if the bike doesn't sell as is. It's just too nice/new a bike other than the motor to be parted out in my opinion.

Clear SC title in my name...so there are no paperwork problems. The original key comes with it and the lights still come on. Still has the original tool kit, etc. It could be a great bike again with a used motor bolted on.

Meh.. Blast is a little down on power, and has a tiny tank.

This is what you need to convert.
I'll cut you a deal.

It even has an FMF already. lol

2004 GS500 Suzuki, May trade for a dirtbike. - $1200 (Spartanburg/York)

Possibly interested in trading for certain dirtbikes/dual sports.
Put your phone number in your email, or I wont respond.

I don't mind you shooting me an offer, but at least make it reasonable. If it's less than half of what I'm asking that's just insulting.

This bike has been well used. I'm the second owner, bought it from a friend in 2007.
It has 46348 miles. It has been well maintained but obviously isn't even remotely new.

The bad news:
My wife low-sided it last May in a hairpin turn, headed up to Caesars Head. It came out pretty much ok except for the fairings. I have stripped them and installed a headlight and turn signals. There are also various scratches and cracks in the rear plastics.
Also since it has been sitting up, it seams pretty cold natured. Carbs could probably use a cleaning.

The good news:
This bike has some pretty decent mods. K&N lunchbox airfilter (replaces airbox, not a drop in), FMF slip-on exhaust, carbs jetted for intake and exhaust, Racetech springs and emulators, with 15weight fork oil. Katana rear wheel to allow a 160 tire(vs stock 130 rear), two position adjustable dog-bone on rear suspension, nice aluminum fork brace, adjustable hand levers, and I have a Katana rear shock to go with it.

Thanks for looking.
