oh HELL! I saw this bastard Buell on another thread and almost felt the need to put out my own eyes, and NOW, unexpectedly, it's here, rearing it's Medusa-like head! There are some things one wishes they never see and for me this is it!

Chubby alert. 2007 MV Augusta Brutale. I've never been a big sportbike guy, but a Brutale has always done something for me...

Do you think I can get both of those CXs in the bed of a F150?

Probably. You'll need a pair of chocks to keep them upright though. These cheap ones from Harbor Freight work great. I have one welded to a piece of angle iron that is the exact width of my trailer, so I don't have to bolt it down. Another way I've done it is to take a piece of 1x2 lumber cut to the width of my truck (when I had one) and two chocks. Once I figured out where they needed to be for the bikes, I just screwed the chocks into the lumber. Infinitely adjustable for any load, and keeps you from punching holes in your truck bed.

Thanks Ray! I think I have it all worked out. I'm sending Kent the funds and he will go up this weekend and seal the deal if everything checks out. I'm away this weekend at Sandblast so I can't manage it myself. I'll be able to pick them them the following weekend from Kent's place.

Looks like I'll owe Kent supper at Bridgetender after all!

Glad to see someone snag these. I was drooling over a few CX builds down at Barber this year. If only I had the time.

When I bought my enclosed trailer, I was sweating the fact that the ad was up the whole afternoon while I was at work, and stayed up the whole time I was driving to Charlotte. I just new the seller was getting higher offers and was going to sell it out from under me. When I got there, he said "It must have been a pretty good price because I got about 50 more emails after yours." Thankfully he was a man of his word and didn't waste my time.

When I bought my last kayak I called the seller, asked if everything was still available, they confirmed, I called the bank and got funds in order, called back 20 minutes later and asked when I could pick it up. She was in complete disbelief that I was that straight forward. It was a great deal and the ad listed the price as firm so I didn't bother trying to haggle. Set up a time the following afternoon. They had a previous caller try to low ball them. Apparently he called back 30 minutes before I pulled in the driveway and asked if they were ready to cut their price yet. They laughed at him and I got a great deal from some nice people. Some people on Craigslist can be ridiculous but I've had some pretty good luck.
