Got a wild hair to paint my tank.

2 hours to strip decals under heavy clear coat.

3 hours to wet sand.

1 rattle can of Krylon Fusion gloss black, and put the black number plates back on. (James'd the side covers.

)

I'm thinking I may paint the bottom half, or all the fairing too... maybe.

Hey James... black and orange?... all black?

Sorry, no rhino-hide envy. I was planing on doing this for a month or so. Besides, my paint is smooth and shiny.

Yeah, go black with the fairing, looks like you have got good depth to the paint job, can be difficult with black, only problem I can see is that it can look tatty pretty quick after a bit of off road has scratched the paint up, so you might want to consider a good thick coat of laquer.

That's why I rattle can'd it. Wasn't going for the show paint job but more a "get a big boo boo, wet sand and re-rattle can it" paint job.
The Krylon Fusion is some pretty impressive stuff for a spray bomb paint, nozzle is a nice adjustable fan pattern, gloss is OK, sticks well to plastic and damn near anything else too... even shoots well in cool temps.

I liked what Flanny did with his LC4 lotsa black with some orange (KTM stickers - hit up matey peeps).

now somebody send creeper a cylinder head before he gets to the carb!

Already got some blue jumbo KTMs from matey peepers a few months ago... big as the orange ones (maybe bigger) Passy was considering.

I get my money this week, so it will be another week or two before I feel well prepared to start work. AFekete (Andrew) said he would send me the heads off his GS as soon as I'm ready... funny thing is, I'll have to buy BMW specific tooling to do them.
