Bobaji Baseball Sidecar Dog Ballpark Tour 2009

OK, let me say up front that a sidecar needs ballast and my dog is my ballast and I never ride without him so please don't nix me for having an animal in the pictures. He rides too, always.

The rig: a 1995 K75 with 79K miles + California Friendship I sidecar with various asthetic upgrades and canine-specific safety modifications.

Here's last year's video from the road:

We want to go to as many major and minor league ballparks as we can this year. Ideally we'd turn this into a fundraising tour for animal shelter and rescue organizations nationwide but I haven't figured out how to do that yet.

Here are some of the places we've ridden to:

Campbells Field, Camden NJ, Home of the Camden Riversharks

And a half a mile south of that on Kings Highway in South Camden...

What was I thinking...not smart.

Then there was Yankee Stadium in the Bronx.

And to get there we had to go thru Manhattan.

And to get to the World Series we had to cross the Ben Franklin Bridge.

But then we parked and walked 'cause it was nuts.

We're headed back north and have a list of ballparks from DE to NY. Anyone want to ride with or have a suggestion, let me know. One of these days we hope someone will actually let us in one of these ballparks and ride around the warning track. I've been to a lot of ballparks in this rig but haven't seen a game in years.

We have nothing to sell. We have nothing to pimp. We just want to ride and find people to ride with.

The word "good" has many meanings. For example, if a man were to shoot his grandmother at a range of five hundred yards, I should call him a good shot, but not necessarily a good man. ~G.K. Chesterton

We're back! On the upside, we've been to six ballparks and met some interesting people, such as Micho the Singing Biker Dog and his chauffeur Tina.

And after Harry Kalas died, we went to his memorial shrine at Citizens Bank Ballpark in Philly.

On the downside, we got stuck in Emporia VA due to a mechanical 'issue' and had to stay here for a week waiting for parts...

We got rear-ended by a teenager on a cell phone and the next day the kill switch failed on the way to meet with our attorney...

we went to Rolling Thunder and missed the point completely until it was over...

and the bike has been in repair more than on the road, etc etc etc.

And here's a refresher on what this adventure is all about:

Our blog is at you out on the road!
