Vander-- good job.
Your trip brought back many memories from my 4 years in Spain at Torrejon AB. However I was bikeless at the time due to having small children. We did however have 1970 VW Camper Van and traveled all over Spain & Portugal. Our last year there we went to France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg up the Mediterranean coast and coming back via the Atlantic. Camping was nice and very inexpensive and the only way we could afford to see all we saw. I just remember the Spaniards way of enjoying life and the afternoon siesta's due to the stifling summer heat. And the tapas and great simple foods.. Thanks

Muy bueno!
Great report especially for the pics but mainly because of all the historic insight you use to describe those pics! Informa cuando vengas al norte de Portugal.

Spain and Portugal
I've driven the highways of Spain (extremadura/asturias/a Corunha) several times and everytime all I could think about was how much I wished I had my bike instead of a rental car! Great Pics man! Love it!

Here is my trusty steed in front of loved/hated Barcelona. ![]() Call me an ignorant American, I don't understand why Barcelona is "loved/hated"? Why would it be hated?

Awesome RR and photos. I was fortunate to ride in Southern Spain last year and had a wonderful time, even not speaking the language and riding solo. I found the Spanish to be ever so helpful and kind.
Thanks for another taste of Spanish culture!!!
