Paint information BMW R100 RS 1977 needed

Hello

I need all information I can find to respray my 77 RS
Clear coat is glossy ? Semi glossy ?
Paint numbers can't help me as chemical are not the same now.
I prefer infomation like "iner parts of the fairing are glossy black" or so.

Painting is a nightmare now. The guy who sprayed my RS gets his paint from France but will be having to go to Italy in the future.

Mines sprayed with a gloss clearcoat and looks very good for it.

Fairing was sprayed like this inside

Pinstripes were sprayed on. He did say he wouldn't do this again because the paint was hard to match and did not flow well.

Over the years the RS fairing paint jobs are varied between colour schemes.

Some have the colour the same as the outer.

Some have a matt black inner surface.
Some have combined b/w the uppers and lowers.

What colour scheme are you considering Michael? Specifically a '77 look?

Oops! missed the point there. If it's a 77 blue scheme you're going for then it has to be a satin finish. They look great in Blue.

I dare to contradict - any reasonable paint shop can compose the exact paint tone based on the BMW colour codes, found e.g. at http://bmbikes.co.uk/

Just do yourself the favour and tell them right from the beginning that these are BMW motorcycle paints
