Paint information BMW R100 RS 1977 needed
Hello
I need all information I can find to respray my 77 RS Clear coat is glossy ? Semi glossy ? Paint numbers can't help me as chemical are not the same now. I prefer infomation like "iner parts of the fairing are glossy black" or so. The bike ![]()

Painting is a nightmare now. The guy who sprayed my RS gets his paint from France but will be having to go to Italy in the future.
Mines sprayed with a gloss clearcoat and looks very good for it. Fairing was sprayed like this inside ![]() Pinstripes were sprayed on. He did say he wouldn't do this again because the paint was hard to match and did not flow well.

Over the years the RS fairing paint jobs are varied between colour schemes.
Some have the colour the same as the outer. Some have a matt black inner surface. Some have combined b/w the uppers and lowers. What colour scheme are you considering Michael? Specifically a '77 look? ..

Oops! missed the point there. If it's a 77 blue scheme you're going for then it has to be a satin finish. They look great in Blue.
