A couple of crappy shots...

Joel, thank you again for everything.... as usual just a terrific time.
Also 1224R Jim... and the other cooks outrageously great carne asada...etc.

And to nicomama for going for the Goler stair step and getting her shiny yellow bike scratched up and dirty:

How were the usual trails? Mengal, Golar, Suprise etc. From the pics so far looks like the weather took its toll. Going through during KOTW twaz a breeze. Looks it may have been a bit more challanging this time around??

Joel,
Thanks for the last minute Hoookups. It's too bad we went able to coordinate riding together but Walt and I had a blast. The 990 for the first time in the dirt rocked. Can't believe how well it handles once the suspension is done up it will be perfect.
You did an awesome job with sat festivities and all who handled the food did a great job.

Thanks again.
Maybe next year I can get my shit together earlier.
Chris

And Joel, thank you for a great weekend.

Met up with a group of N00B's from Nor Cal.

I cant remember their names and hope they read this report and will PM me who they are in the mean time I will refer to them as follows.

HIPPY (KTM450) - Cause he had the long hair unshaven tree huger look about him (in front)
Lurch (DRZ400) - on the DRZ cause he was a big dude on a little bike. Looked like a monkey fkin a football....
GasBag (KTM525)- where to begin...oh and he had some huge gas tank on the bike
Hippy= CRW
Lurch/Gas Bag= Capt.Saveaho
little_twin on the DRZ. Nothing bad to say about me right

It was great to meet and ride with you.

Two of the Strada's came down with a 990 rider that I knew from last year but I cant recall his name.

One rider has off road experience the other did not.

They hit some off road and the bikes seem to have done fine but with a 190 rear street tire it was a little squirmy in the corners they were saying.

Dunno if they will get knobbies for it though
.

A little bit of water running down the rocks made it slippery...

Pleasant was moist but graded by a guy who dug it up like a tank trap.

I left mine at home as I am rusty on off road and the 17 front plus the big rear seems a challenge on the trails I visited.
