I was on my way to Goler Wash when I happened upon Suzuki Phil, and Robert (KLR 650). I was going West while the crew was headed East. We checked out Barker Ranch while waiting for the rest of the group to show up, but the wait proved too long, so we headed to Mengel Pass. Phil led, and I always enjoy watching him pick a line, execute it flawlessly, and motor on. Maybe you just didn't notice the rocks because you are so smooth.

Thumb Awesome first time

We (NWAF and Scootergirl) had an awesome first time attending. Thanks Joel for all the hard work and Keith, Dewey and Jo for leading the perfect noobs rides on Friday and Saturday. Keith even found NWAF's lost license plate in the sand! And some tourists with a flat will never forget our group and their special helper.

Also and by the way. I feel bad that as I was cooking burgers that when one inmates asked me to toast his bun I said, "No! I am cooking for 150 peeps, I do not have time for toasting buns!"

I was up to my ass in cooking but I could have been a bit more...mmmm....sorry sounding...

Or I could have offered to let him jump back behind the grill to toast his own buns.

So, anyway. Sorry I was not more sorry sounding.

Only able to save one picture from the camera. Friday had a lovely ride to Ballerat up Goler. Thanks WildChild for riding the XR up the wash. Called it an early day. Saturday rode with the PPs from SD. Thank you for riding with a n00b.

I am glad that I was able to get a picture of DirtDiver. He saved the day for me. DirtDiver had a spare clutch handle after I broke mine it in a slow speed tipover. My left butt cheek is still purple (no I am not posting pics).

Ron, whenever we are together I'll buy you a beer.

This is post wreck.

Tired and dusty after the ride home today but thanks to everyone who organized the weekend. Our group had a great time and I'm sure we'll be posting pictures soon. For now though, here's a snap of my favorite dual sport bike (ha!).
