Great photos and writeups, Duck! I like reading about the history of these great buildings.

Yes, we need WPA now. Imagine all the infrastructure that could be repaired and improved with the labor we (the taxpayers) are shelling out Billions$$ for every year - for doing nothing! I digress, though. Back to regular programming.

I think I would really get some strange looks if I showed up for the new tag on my scooter.

Bah, that is a little more than a scooter.

The wife and I ride the 50cc scooter into town and I back it in to the curb in front of the bar, next to the Harleys

Now THAT gets you funny looks.

The Boone county courthouse had a couple of neat statues in front

New County Tag

And for your clue
Formed in 1831 from parts of Kanawha, Wood, and Mason Counties, and named for the seventh President of the United States.

Thanks for letting me play. Looking forward to future tags in this game.

WV's courthouses are incredible. I thought NC had some nice ones but they don't compare. I rode out to Wirt County Courthouse just to see it . But I think McDowell county courthouse is one of the most historic with Sid Hatfield demise. Just awesome riding in general in every direction!!!!!
