Question, if I take a picture of the courthouse I want to use as the tag on my way to make the grab picture, is that considered a file tag?

After looking at the WV State and Courthouse tag rules (first page of each), nothing indicates otherwise; I'd say you're good.

Of course, if I'm wrong, they'll make me eat all of Rella's pies in her fridge.

Thanks, that is what I was thinking. I am going to be riding right through there this weekend. If it is still there I will get it and move to another... Yep, to believe it or not.

I'm OK with that too - same day is same day. Not like it's going to slow the game down any .

Thanks for bringing this one back to life!!

Lists?

Hey pnoman. Do you have a list or Google Map started showing all the (few) counties that have been tagged so far?
I like lists

Nice to see the game moving after a slow start last year.

I just added a list on Page 1 / Post #1 with the "Tagged" counties to help keep track of things

I didn't get the tag, but was playing with the new stuff in Google Maps and came up with this.

Court House TOR Map

Anyone know how to add pictures?

Still riding, but wanted to get this up. I know how fast it can go!

Actually I just couldn't stand the thought of getting bruced by a Berg

Nice tag, Duck! You didn't need to worry about getting Bruced by my Burg, since I set the tag last fall (when I still had my VStrom). Can't grab my own tag. (although I was tempted with this one. zzzzzzzz)

BTW - the new ride looks great (if you're not going to ride a scooter).

The TAG

Wyoming County Court House

[/IMG]

A little info...

One of the reasons this thread started was to show off the architecture. This was definitely from a different time.

A shot through the front door

Good place to go to check your GPS

The Wyoming County Courthouse and Jail is a historic courthouse and jail located in Pineville, Wyoming County, West Virginia. It consists of the unusually large neoclassical courthouse, with a massive pediment, and an adjoining stone jail. The courthouse was designed by West Virginia state architect A. F. Wysong and built in 1916 of locally quarried stone. The jail was built of similar materials in 1930 with Work Projects Administration labor. A statue of preacher W.H.H. Cook, an early settler of the area and influential citizen, stands in front of the courthouse.
The Wyoming County Courthouse was placed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1979

We could use some WPA projects in 2013

Courthouse was completed in 1921 in the Neoclassical Revival style. Designed by architect H. Rus Warne of Charleston

By the way, anyone have a big sandbox? I just got my new Tonka toy delivered.
