Loading up!

2 days at the beach, back at the "soft" sands of Southwick.

ACR rents the track on Friday for 50 lucky guests to ride a freshly groomed track then a regular vintage day on Saturday. The weather is going to be about perfect all weekend and we are having the 3rd annual "WICKBAKE" with fresh lobster, clams, mussels, sausage and corn boiled up all together and washed down with the cold adult beverage of your choice. We will already smell of a day of riding and no women are present so the butter can drip down your chin till your sleeve gets it. We have been told to put the garbage far away as there are black bear in the area so we usually dump it in a can by the riders we don't like or possibly a good friend that is close in points? The beer will tell us what the right choice is I'm sure....

Only downside to the weekend is my racing sidekick will not be in attendance, Varsity football frowns on "other" sports during there schedule and Jr. has a scrimmage on Friday. I have been dragging him to races and Nationals since he was 5 or so and in general have not raced without him for the last 10 years . I will miss him sleeping on the way up with his mouth wide open drooling all over himself, telling him he's the next moto and he probably should get dressed and then starting his bike up because he flooded it.

Racing without him there is not going to be the same....

I'm hoping the penthouse suite is bear safe? I'm not in the points lead of anything but will probably check the garbage can around the 2 story condo before retiring.

And as a side note, we did see a bear cross the road after leaving the track one day , it was HUGE and absolutely beautiful.

The tent is made for safari's originally and is very well made, full aluminum base with mattress in it and the highest quality materials. It is bolted to a custom made roof rack that is bolted to the frame of the trailer. Folds up nicely as well.

Off to ride, full report in a couple days....
