1150 GS Fuel Filter

Searched this forem .I have an external fuel filter from the OP .Is there a thread on this . What have you done ?

Nothing remarkable. It may help you to sketch the fuel flow circuit so that you can identify the combination tank vent/overflow circuit, the fuel distributor, pressure feed line from pump out put, pressure regulator, and fuel return aka "by-pass". The boxers employ a run of the mill fuel by-pass/fuel return fuel injection system. Pressure is maintained at apox 43 1/2 psi at the injectors. The factory regulator opens as a relief valve and excess flow and pressure return to the tank via the fuel return line.

Any external fuel filter rated for fuel injection will work. You may wish to stop by Hasenwerk's thread. He has the Fram G6563 installed. This filter will locate nicely in the steer head above the horn. External filters are fine as long as they are safely installed using high grade fuel line and proper clamps.
