A message I got from Ian updating the progress of Adaneli;

Hey Rick yes Adaneli has her voting papers, birth certificate, school papers and her passport, She has been to the doctor in Chihuahua and has topped up on her medications, Tury gave her more of the money I had left to cover medications so she has everything in order, she has also a prescription we can fill in Canada. She was given a good bill of health from the doctor along with prescriptions. Now we are applying for her Canadian Visa, this should take about a month to get so it looks like Adaneli should be in Canada sometime in July. I am unable to make it to Hiawatha once again please say hi to all and have a great safe time.

Nice report guys You can't go hardly go wrong hanging out with Tury and Charlie in the canyons Looks like another fine trip other than the few getoffs. I've been wanting to get back in the area and I finally hit that hotspring.

Last I heard, weeks ago, was that they were still working out visa issues.

I believe the girl in the pictures below are the same girl. She has shown me around the cathedral two or three times over the years. These were taken by me in 2005. She always struck me as a bright kid. Any news on her current situation?

There have been visa problems. Apparently the Canadians are a picky as we are about these things.

Tury told me the other day that he found another avenue to pursue it so maybe something will happen. I sure hope it doesn't fizzle.

I just got a note from Ian. He's hoping everything will be worked out & she'll be able to start school in Toronto in Sept.He indicated It's been extreamly difficult as she didn't have any paperwork or documentation to start with.

We're going back down in March. Hopefully I'll get another Hug from her!
