I pulled over around 12 midnight and fell asleep slumped over for about 2 hours. Chugged a red bull and a coffee and rallied the 3 hours home. Pulled in about 4:30am. I was pretty wired from the red bull so I didn't get a restful 2 hours of sleep before my daughter came in demanding french toast

Anyways, I needed to get the gasser out of my truck and there was a ride planned about 10 miles from my house, so I thought I could rope some of my buddies into helping me

A) Get it out of the truck
B) Help assemble it
C) Go for a ride and eat pulled pork at Clem's BBQ

All went according to plan

On the standardized awesomeness scale of 1-10, that is a solid 11

Did you have help when you put it all in? And what did the folks at the dealer think about this?

Why not just raise the standard awesomeness level 10 up,and then you won't need any 11.

Yeah I had help. Nice guy I had been doing the deal with was trying to see if he could get a hitch first. Then I had him open up a space in the wash bay as they had been putting their higher end cars indoors due to the hurricane. I noticed mine wasn't put inside

Anyways by the time he and I got both bike and truck back there I had a crowd of about 5-6 guys all asking questions and helping. I stripped it down to what you saw and then 4 of us shoved it in there. I was in the passenger compartment and pulling it in and running out of room fast. I really didn't think it was going to work, but they kept going. Once the main part was in I was just shoving the other crap in as fast as possible as the rain and wind were picking up and I had a 6-7 hour drive ahead of me.

The dealer, real Toyota dealership too BTW, was totally cool with it, you could see where they might not have been. They all wanted to pose for pics and send them to Toyota to put in a catalog or something.

Cool, can I get a pit pass?? Dealer was surprisingly cool with it all. I think I had this crazed look of desperation on my face. I mean can you imagine seeing that Mad max bike rolling into your dealership an hour before you close due to weather and this lunatic running around demanding wash bays and four guys...

Curry Toyota was great. Anyone want a Toyota they are def a great place to do business with and the price was excellent.

lol...i haven't checked this thread in awhile. i remember checking it out a couple months ago and thinking "wow, what a cool project."

then seeing your bike in real life, i thought..."hmmm...that looks familiar".

just saw the pics at the sunoco station and finally put 2+2 together and realized who you are. (i'm a bit slow sometimes. )

anyway, that bike is sweeeeeeeeeeet, man. awesome job.

i gotta come by and check out your geeeerarge one of these days (maybe next thursday before or after QSL). lemme know if you ever need someone to hold the light or fetch beers...i'm only 10 minutes away. lol.
