I'm in Madison Heights, with a 1200GS and a DRZ400S.

(yah, one's not on the list, but I don't know exactly what you're trying to do, so I figured I'd list them all. I'm debating taking my Clearwater LEDs and replacing the headlight on the DRZ with them, so if you have anything that is headlight replacement quality, I'm listening. )

Just sent Toad a PM. I have a new G650GS (one month old) in Ann Arbor. Should be out riding sometime later today if the winds don't get too bad. The weather calls for high winds (30mph gusting to 50mph) and a little rain.

Happy New Year to all

Toad - thanks for the PM. I hope something can worked out.

Just got back from a short ride. The wind was really starting to kick up and then it started to rain too. Everyone, be careful out there.

I hear ya Geoff.

Just got back from taking both mine out for a ride. Took the DRZ first, about 1pm before the winds got really bad. Then the GS. Glad I got back when I did, as even the GS was getting squirrly in the crosswinds.

Best part of the ride was when I stopped in Wendy's on the way back to get food. Everyone stopped talking and looked at me as I walked in, like I was crazy or something. I just stretched and said "great day for a ride."

I was out between 12-1:30pm and got pushed around a bit. Doesn't matter, it isn't often that my first ride of the year is on the first day of the year.

Those must be very insightful people to sense what I've known for quite a while.

Glad you got out and back safely.

Yep. I think the local MENSA meets at Wendy's here in Madison Heights..

(Not going to argue the crazy part... )
